Margaret M. Carey


Meg Carey has worked in the commercial real estate industry for twenty years and is an expert in understanding the economic impact energy related issues have on this industry. Because of her varied experience working with real estate owners/developers, managing agents and large commercial and industrial tenants, she knows first-hand the parameters by which investment decisions regarding energy efficiency are made. Meg has been instrumental in guiding her clients through the changes in the deregulating electricity markets and has successfully negotiated many of the largest electricity supply contracts in the New York metropolitan area. Meg's understanding of real estate, finance and leasing enable her to assess energy supply and efficiency projects at their bottom line.

Meg's career began at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in the Property Management Division in 1979. Subsequently she was AVP/Director of Energy Management at Mendik Realty Company, then VP/ Manager of Facilities Planning and Design at HSBC/Marine Midland Bank, VP of Business Development at Enersave, Inc. and since 1997, President of MCEnergy, Inc., an independent energy services company.

Meg has served as a member of BOMA's Energy Committee, the New York Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Energy Resources Committee and as Co-Chair of Con Edison's Committee on Energy Conservation. Meg is active at New York University's Real Estate Institute, Commercial Real Estate Women, Building Owners and Managers Association and the Real Estate Board of New York.

Meg has been quoted in real estate and energy related publications as well as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.



Selena F. Wong
Vice President

Selena has worked in the energy industry for twenty years with extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, supply and distribution and product development.

Before joining MCEnergy, Inc. in 2003 as Project Manager, Selena was Senior Analyst and Assistant to the Chief Economist at Texaco Inc., White Plains, New York. As Senior Analyst, she was responsible for developing energy price forecast models, assessing supply and demand fundamentals, coordinating capital project evaluations, and monitoring industry trends and government regulations.

Selena began her career at Texaco's research center in Glenham, New York as Research Engineer in the Alternative Energy Department. She later joined the product development group in Lubricants Research Section. Subsequently, she was Project Manager in Supply and Distribution of Specialty Chemicals and then as Assistant to the President of Texaco Lubricants Company in Houston, Texas.

Selena holds a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering at Tufts University and a Master Degree at Manhattan College. She was awarded Women of the Year honoree by the YWCA in Dutchess County of New York.


Jack M. Freudenheim
Head of Technology

Jack oversees and develops the company's key IT initiatives and infrastructure. He began working with MCEnergy in 2006, and has been overseeing and continuing development of the internal database as well as the client-faced applications and website.

Jack has over 20 years’ experience in IT software development. He has consulted at many of New York’s top financial, health care and arts organizations including Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, Concentra and Center for Arts Education. He has developed many database-oriented applications for a variety of platforms both intranet and internet. Jack has taught programming classes to corporate clients such as Exxon and ABC Television, and has written for programming publications such as the Visual Basic Programmer’s Journal.

Jack is also the creator of Sounder™, a music software application that RollingStone magazine called “a true original in the music-creation space”.

Jack graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He graduated from Columbia University’s Computer Technology and Applications program in 1988.
